    Concrete base for summer house

For the sake of it if use the posts but the blocks are ok except your wasting your time using postcrete, the block wouldn't be in the ground.

10x6 shed wall timber frame size

Use 3x2 CLS above ground perfectly strong enough for a shed the size that you are making, I've made a summerhouse and in process of finishing a shed build with the above timber, 4x2 for raised floor frame and roof for my 12x9 shed, pics attached.

    Concrete base for summer house

Unfortunately there are not many places online that sell them, because of the weight, I've been lucky I live in Surrey and have a company called Fairalls that stock them, I use the 450mm ones under decking due to the non rotting factor, I'm not saying there the best option but I've used them on...

    Concrete base for summer house

I only use the dpm between the timber and concrete because if the ground gets extremely wet as it did a few months ago, the concrete post will make the timber damp and so the timber above the frame will get damp too, for the price of a 100mm roll it's not worth not using,

    Concrete base for summer house

Post Crete would be fine and u need dpm to separate the concrete from the wood, weed membrane won't do that, dpm is cheap from Screwfix.

    Concrete base for summer house

There the posts, if the ground is unlevel the depth of the posts allow for depth adjustment, dig the hole approximately 200mm square especially if the ground is soft, the least disturbance the better, the frame this way allows for air flow underneath and no water can get to the frame. It's my...

    Concrete base for summer house

This is the 3m X 5.5m summerhouse that I built last year on the same principle, 12 concrete dek posts, and the same 4x2 treated timber supporting frame, all off the floor and it's under the 2.5m height limit

    Concrete base for summer house

It's a lot easier than it looks, getting materials now is a different story, I always use the concrete dek posts from supreme concrete, never rot sold in different lengths, I use stainless steel bolts with dpm inbetween the post and timber frame, on the 3.6 x2.5 base I used 12 posts @£6 each...

    Concrete base for summer house

Best would be a raised base like I have just finished for my shed. A lot easier and better than concrete.

    Log cabin base

Because it's a log cabin you need the raised type of base that I've built, this supports the ring beams then the floor fits inside,

    Log cabin base

Hiya I'm in the process of building a small workshop, 3.6m x 2.5m I've used the concrete dek posts the a 4x2 timber frame separated from the concrete posts by dpm, I've then built the frame on top so it's as you would need a floating base, the concrete dek posts come in different lengths I've...

    Rear Garden Fence

We had exactly the same, chain link between our gardens, between us we took the chain link down and then bolted 1200mm high wooden posts to the concrete posts and made a 1350 high with gravel boards picket fence, it gives privacy and also light for the new plants to grow, has been admired lots.
