Hi there, I am building a hip to gable loft conversion. Could anyone clarify for me what ridge tiles are required, considering ventilation under building regs. Also, is it a requirement to use breathable felt from the ridge to the dormer ceiling? Hope that makes sense, many thanks.

The joists were being fixed to the 7x4 web inside the steel ibeam, no notching was needed. Hope that makes sense.
