Waste pipe for basin in downstairs cloakroom is 40mm. Washing machine close by and needs a waste pipe. Can I tee off the basin waste or do I need to connect directly to soil pipe. Basin waste is 1m run to soil pipe. WM would be 1m to basin waste or about 2.5m to connect direct to soill pipe. NB...
