I have a fully intergrated ADP 8132 and the problem is the arms are not spinning during the washing cycles. I have checked and they are both moving freely and there seems to be no blockages that i can see (I haven't stripped it down yet) and ideas would be helpful i am thinking poss pump...

connecting HW tank thermostat to wiring centre for CHeating

Yes but dont forget heat resisting at the cylinder end and I guess the other end is going in to the central wiring junction box so unless its by an immediate source of heat then the 3 core and earth can run straight into that. Oh and dont forget to sleeve up the live condutors IE all of them !

    Installing a 10.8kw Shower

10.8KW = 47 amps @230 vlts so mcb should be 50 amps , you say run is 15 m to pull cord so lets say total run is 17m voltage drop is 3.52 amps = 0.02% so thats all okay now for the fun bit 10mm t/e has a max clipped direct rating of 64amps however it must be remembered that clipped direct means...

    Replacing mcbs

Does the 3036 C/U have a wooden back section on it or is it all insulating plastic?, most of the ones i have come across have been the very old wooden back variety. If so then would be good practice to recomend a new C/U.

    Metre Tails Upgrade !!!

Sailpower WPD fit the same isolator as you have shown but in the wylex moulded case that goes with it, which is designed for either 16 mm tails (you dont need to remove the outer cable sheath) and 25mm tails you strip back the outer sheath leaving just the insulation, off of memory i think its...

Is this the first time the mcb has tripped? , because as said already they have a breaking capacity of 6ka(most do)but they can often only handle a couple of heavy duty breaks before they fail.

I was called to a very similar fault like this the main isolator switch in the cu was a rcd protected one, when the heating spur was turned on it tripped out, i carried out an insulation test on the cables and found a dead short between earth and neut, mmmmm interesting i thought , upon further...

    service fuse blown

I had an isolator fitted for one of my jobs the other day and was chatting to the guy from western power, he told me that although the carriers say 100 amps they are only really capable of taking about 93amps hence thats why 99% of them, even new ones only have 80 amp fuses in. apparently they...

    sealing/covering(what with?)emulsion to stop blistering-HELP

This is a typical problem that was caused by 2 things (a) lime in previous coatings eating away at the old paints thus making them loose (b) the more common reason is because after the walls were plastered they were not stabilized properly, pva is ok however there are specific stabilizers on the...
