Besides not eliminating air from the system, you could have overpressurized by adding too much water back to the loop which will make a pump run hard.
I second the reply that mentioned to check all valves (zone valves too to make sure they are opening on a heat call), if one is partially...

If oil-based chemicals of any kind are used in the treatment of the system--the ball can swell. Stick to additives you know and trust. These swells are contained to systems not to all Honeywell valves. I've seen these last for 20 years+ untouched.
Don't use a Horstmann. When you put this valve in manual position is closes the end switch and always fires the boiler. Same on a Sauter Valve. Stick with the Honeywell.
