Water Surrounding Nails (under modern roofing membrane) (Ed.)

Thanks again. I had a good look at roof earlier and compared with my neighbour’s roof and there is nothing obvious wrong or damaged. I assume there is nothing I can really do about the screws? Cheers again

Water Surrounding Nails (under modern roofing membrane) (Ed.)

Thanks again. I am puzzled why the beam was dry in the majority of places and only wet around the screws. I understand the water is likely to escalate through the gap created by the screw and there may not be a washer attached, potentially caused by heavy rain during windy periods. Due to the...

Water Surrounding Nails (under modern roofing membrane) (Ed.)

Thanks. I would say there is. I’m not sure if there is anything else that could be causing the moisture around the screws? Certainly never noticed it before and the other parts of the roof/truss are dry. There is no wet patches on the beam where the screws are on.

Water Surrounding Nails (under modern roofing membrane) (Ed.)

Thanks for the helpful response. There does not appear to be any other areas in the loft that have this type of moisture (I have noticed during very cold periods water droplets on the felt) which I understand is normal. Is there anything I should be concerned about such as damage to the areas...

Water Surrounding Nails (under modern roofing membrane) (Ed.)

Hi thanks for your reply. I checked the roof from below and there does not appear to be any issue with the tiles/ridge. The roof is fairly new (5 yrs old) and there doesn’t appear to be any missing/moved tiles. What is consistent is that the wet areas are surrounding where there are screws...

    Pyronix Alarm - Error Message

Thanks for the reply. It was installed in 2019. The batteries have not been changed since it was installed. I am assuming it is not a wireless connectivity issue and I need to replace all batteries? Cheers

    UPVC Patio Door Handle

I took the handle off and it still made the noise and wasn’t working properly - looks like it is the handle that needs replaced. Thanks again for your help lostinthelight

    UPVC Patio Door Handle

Thanks - I have added some additional pictures. I think it may be the actual handle rather than the springs.

    UPVC Patio Door Handle

Hi all My upvc patio door handle is not working properly (it doesn’t ‘spring’ and makes a crunch noise) when moving the handle to open/close. The lock works fine, however, i’m keen to fix it properly. I have attached an in image of the spring component. Does anyone have any advice on where I...
