I don't think its bitumen its an inch thick in places and hard as stone it looks like its been injected into the mortar course and hardened I was thinking of using this stuff by removing a bed of mortar and back filling to fix a wall i have that is suffering from raising damp

Do anyone know what they have used in the photo for a DPC .it looks like black tar in the photo pouring out from the stone work. when i touched the stuff its as hard as stone any ideas?

I notice allot of old buildings where i live seem to been injected with a DPC it feels like a hard resin stone like too touch do anyone know what the rasin is called? Photo below
