    I don't think its bitumen its an inch thick in places and hard as stone it looks like its been injected into the mortar course and hardened I was thinking of using this stuff by removing a bed of mortar and back filling to fix a wall i have that is suffering from raising damp

    I am try to buy some chemical paint stripper to aid in removal paint from the stone front of the home allot of the paint removal chemicals are not suitable for limestone my house is a Victorian house built in Cardiff. Could anyone identify the stone it is made from

    rising damp on a single skin wall

    I was thinking of removing a whole bed of mortar bit by bit and packing out with 2/3 steel bars to support each brick then filling gaps in with silicone or expending foam. What do you think of this idea?

    I have rising damp on an internal wall I was thinking of removing a bed of mortar section by section just above floor level and back filling with some type of waterproof raisin or mortar to create a DPC. is their anything on the market which i can buy?
