The office next door doesn't have textured ceiling at all, just some of that amaglyptine wallpaper stuff. That's different from Artex, the blokes doing the work say.

So... the only ceilings to worry about are Artex?

But you wouldn't know straight away would you NoseAll, how long ago was it? The builders next door seem to have put a new board ceiling over the crumbling ceiling. Does that sound sensible?

Just to check: nobody has ever heard of lathe and plaster ceilings with asbestos? Paul

Really appreciate, the building is covered in dust and bits of plaster. Builders said: 'Lath and plaster is shot to pieces'. Was concerned. Is this just the same for all ceilings?

Does that depend on what age the building is?

I've got a very simple one but would love an expert answer as they are doing work on it the next door office right now. Question is this: do lathe and plaster ceilings contain asbestos?
