Yes thats the cold inlet, but on my cylinder its not level with the immersion. Thank you for the reply though. Having looked around i assume that it will have a similar silver pipe to drain the tank fully, so long as i keep the hose i attach to the drain, lower than the cylinder.

I know, i dont understand it. Turns a simple job into a nightmare. Thats why i wondered whether the pipe goes in beyond the connection and drops down, assuming you would then have to syphon the water. I cant find an exploded diagram of the cylinder....i found a picture of a similar cylinder and...

Hi, can anyone help me understand how to empty the cylinder in the picture. Reason is so i can replace the immersion heater. The issue i have is that the cold water input drain is above the immersion heater level. Does the pipe, inside the cylinder, drop down lower the line of the immersion...
