not entirely true breezer as you could install a curtain pir which only looks the same angle as a beam, various possibilities on this one.
irrelevent of mounting at certain heights you will always run the risk with either option of activations due to animals.
I know this from installing both...
hi
replaceable yes but no way as effective as a halogen lamp, leds are effect lighting and very pretty at the same time but not suitable for lighting areas properly.
my understanding is when you carry out a board change you should be fully testing all circuits connected and thus filling out the relevent parts of the cert
hi
check out gardiner security
optex beam sets are damn good, also you will need cheap alarm panel to run it,
perhaps another option whatabout an opal system? usually used for switching lights but could be tinkered with to just be used for the pir to give audible alert.
hi
also just another point to consider, if you kill all power you will set off the onboard battery in the bell outside, that wont silence until it goes flat or you reinstate power.
thats exactly what i think, but not having a pop, a lot of questions are raised on this forum regarding testing, regs, install techniques and cable calcs from part p course guys, which makes you think what exactly are they being taught?

so nozspark i know what u r saying about the competency side of things, someone might be well capable of carrying out all dead and live tests, and recording the results because you have been shown how to do it by the bloke at work but if you cant interpret the results you would surely need some...
i agree with spark123 and nozspark, what i dont get is why i was slated for saying you need test and inspect quals on a previous thread, when people were saying they have no quals and still test, as was mentioned how are the results interpreted correctly? and why these "part p courses" let u do...
hi
not personal opions but matter of fact you need to have cand g quals behind you to work on industrial effectively, short courses wont apply as they are about part p which is domestic installs only and doesnt apply to commercial applications.
After the three years you could then do am2...
