    Re-wire extension lead

Not unless it comes with usb/telephone ports and is a lot larger in size. All the 6-way plugs had the same construction, at leat in my B&Q. It's all sorted now anyway :)

    Re-wire extension lead

Of course but that would make it a £60 extension lead!

    Re-wire extension lead

Thanks for all the replies. A bit of a backstory on this: I originally purchased two 10m long 4-gang sockets, however I needed more. (aquarium). Rather than waste the 10m long cables, I cut off the 4-gang and intended to buy a 6-gang and connect them. Unfortunately, unlike the 4-gang...

    Re-wire extension lead

Hello, I need to re-wire a 6 gang extension lead to make it longer. Upon opening the casing I can see the connections are soldered on. Would it be acceptable to re-heat the connections, remove them and add a new flex (longer), then fasten it all back together? Thanks

    Sealing plywood

Ahh yes. This is the one I need http://www.slhardwoods.co.uk/products/sheet-material/plywood-mr-grade-veneered-1-side-only/beech-plywood-mr-veneered-1-side-only That would cost £200 which is double my budget, unfortunately. I really like this but it will cost £50 in petrol just to...

    Sealing plywood

What do you think to this: http://www.builderdepot.co.uk/18mm-x-1220mm-x-2440mm-wbp-bb-cc-external-plywood.html It's a higher grade veneer on one side which is fine for my application. It's also external grade so I won't need to varnish it again? (except perhaps seal the cut edges)

    Sealing plywood

I understand. Do you know how much good plywood costs on average, if you work with that wood often or are in this industry. To cover a 10m2 room for under £100 and no carpet, what would you personally use? It needs to be a natural finish like plywood and preferably insulating. I've considered...

    Sealing plywood

If it turns out to be difficult to get a good quality plywood (at a low price) would OSB board be better suitable? Not only does the top surface need to be durable, but the entire floor needs to be strong as I will be putting a aquarium weighing 400kg across a small space (750 x 750mm) The...

    Sealing plywood

I'm installing plywood flooring onto a concrete/tiled floor as a finished flooring in a bedroom. What would be a inexpensive way of sealing the plywood to eliminate splintering and protect from moisture? I understand that a good option is Osmo oil however that is far too expensive. I'll...

    Tiled.concrete floor and Plywood

Hello, I'm redecorating my bedroom and would like some advice on how to install the new floor. The floor is tiled and concrete in one corner - it's the really old heavy tiles that were used in the 1900's - this room was once a kitchen but the tiles were never the 'finished' flooring...

    Load capacity on floor

They span 5m (room length) then there is another 3m span that makes up the hallway width... I don't think it will be a good idea after many considerations and I'm looking at placing it in an alternative room on the ground floor which as you rightly said is concrete. Thanks everyone for the...
