Absolute star mate,one of the fuses had blown,changed and with the new external box it’s all working as it should,again thanks for your advice.

Wired as per above picture and now I get a fault on zone 1 which is the internal PIR ,if I omit zone 1 the alarm will arm and the door sensor sets off the panel but not the external box, any suggestions ?

Thanks so much Sparkymarka, presume the Green wire is spare and taped up? Hopefully get my garage alarmed tomorrow.

Sorry it’s been a while but other family issues got in the way. New box has different wiring to the old ,can anyone shed some light as to wiring ? Thanks in advance

At least 20 years, on the garage when we moved in, no faults on control panel, just seems to have a mind of its own! The only sound seems to be a very weak sounding siren, but totally independent of the control panel ,if that makes sense? Thanks for your quick reply

Afternoon all Some advice sought on my alarm problem please. All the functions of the alarm seem to be working as expected but the external box has a siren sound ( like a man in a box) , very quiet but there and seems to come on and off randomly, still sounds with the mains off so presumably...

It was a very strange finish……..almost like silk ,not what I would consider Matt,what was odd when I peeled it all off a lot of the very patchy bits weren’t even over repairs.

Everything previously painted fine and covered in two coats, I was on my third 5 litre tin and still had patches showing through,it was almost translucent. Valspar claimed their retailer should have advised to use a tinted primer,after purchasing the third tin of paint and explaining the poor...

That’s where my relationship with Valspar ended

That’s not a fault code just a display code to tell you what the diverters doing, don’t take too much notice of all the “experts “ the most patronising bloke on here was grinding his rusty rear discs down in situ on another thread ,yet always tells you to leave it to the professionals...........
