Hi Guys, late reply here from me :(
Yes it is above a shower tray. We make the hinges as tight as possible but they work loose which is the issue. The seals and trim are dry and brittle. I didn't out it in so don't know the model number or make to find out about getting spares.

Sorry for the tardy response folks. Appreciate the helpful replies.
There is grub screw in to the spindle. Is there a solution? Those sleeve bolts in the link looked to be a winner.....
Cheers for the prompt replies fellas.
Yes it's a close coupled unit. No idea of the type of valve....
There is a pipe just outside the wall but nothing coming from it. However, there is water continuing to run in to the pan after flushing.
If I need to replace the valve or seal are they...
The door to the enclosure is forever sagging down for want of another word which means we can't close it without some force. We have to lift it up and tighten the socket head bolts on the hinges. It's never flush which means a wet floor, nor long lasting, and could so with being ripped out for a...
Hi all,
I have some door handles that keep coming off some wooden interior doors. There are two screws about 9 and 3 that have worked out of theirs holes. I can push them in but they don't stay. What can I do about this? The holes are effectively too big, so some superglue?

Hi folks,
Can you give me ideas on sorting our toilet. The flushing noise goes on for too long now. The cistern empties quick enough but the refill just keeps going. Lifting the lid I can see water going into a vertical pipe. No doubt a simple fix for those in the know so any help welcome...
Hi,
I've recently had a small area paved with slabs. The last part the builder did was to sweep some sand / sandy-looking-stuff ( ) over it. My question is if all the gaps should be filled? The majority are not and I don't know if it matters or not. The gaps are very small.
Thanks...
Thanks Mods for the change of title 8)
Thanks for that comprehensive reply, John.
Are the timber studs you refer to the horizontal strips of wood beneath the plaster? I guess until I start drilling in the wall where the cabinet is going, I won't know what is underneath it all. Do I need...
The opposing wall (from where the cabinet will go) looks like horizontal bits of wood, with plaster pasted across it. (I know this as a painter stripped some hideous woodchip wallpaper and the plaster had come away so it was there to see)
I'm not sure if that is/was a style of construction...
The building we are in is a tenament from 1898 and the walls seem very crumbly.
Curtain Pole
The pole we bought is fixed over three brackets, each has 2 screws: 6 holes in total required. I drilled 23 holes trying to get 3 matching pairs. Problems I encounter are the plaster just crumbles...
Evening all,
I've joined as I have some Qs about fixing a curtain pole and fixing a bathroom cabinet, specifically about the crumbly walls. What section should I post these in?
Oi fank you
