thanks guys looks like i will have to sand which is what i wanted to try and avoid as the boards have been sanded once already. incidently is there a recognised board thickness that i shouldnt go below if i do sand again

pine floorboards, only used a mahogony stain no lacquer or varnish on the top

i have mahogony stained floorboards and want to remove the staining by chemical or solvent means not sanding any sugestions
