I have an electric pipe freezing kit and I need to freeze 3 barrel pipes 1 is the mains which is 3/4 inch,1 is 2" which is the hot,1 is 1"1/2 which is the cold. They all drop down from the ceiling into the room and all have elbows on I need to attach iron to copper fittings into each of these...

It is a 2 pipe system. And would it matter? Because air would still be able to be released from elsewhere.

I will be able to do what muggles suggested if I'm able to trace back that far. But I'm asking what's the best thing to do if I can only get as far as the ceiling,is it best to just cap the two pipes off where I can?

Yes don't worry rsjs are being installed. So by looping them this will create a problem? What if I capped off both of the heating pipes?

I've recently removed 3 radiators from 3 different Walls in a property as the Walls are to be knocked through to create an open plan space.the heating pipework which is plastic speedfit,travels up through the wall to the upstairs rads. To remove this pipework should I loop up the 2 heating pipes...

The downstairs pressure is fine, but the upstairs doesnt receive enough pressure to get the pump to kick in. by doing that what you said would that back up all the way to the upstairs to dislodge the airlock.

it looked pretty clean in the tank i dont think it was that,good thinking though, would it be worth draining down the system and filling back up again?

in the property the shower pressure is terrible it just trickles out, so i thought maybe the shower pump needed replacing so i purchased a new shower pump and installed it. the pressure was great for a day or so then went straight back to the way it was before with the water just trickling out...

well people ive done it! shut off the gas at the gas box,turnt off the stopcock on the f&e,stuck a bit off hosepipe on the drain off on the boiler opened up all the air pips on the radiators upstairs,drained it down,disconnected the gas,disconnected the flow and return and i got a competent...

as u say mate this aint a job this is an adventure you call yourself corgiman so give me some of your corgi educated tips on how to remove a boiler you could give me your corgi number while your at it too

look come on this way will be cheaper. do i drain the boiler down disconnest the gas and blank it off then remove the rest of the pipework??
