Hi This maybe a stupid question, but I'd like to try regenerating the air-gap on the Megaflow hot water tank. Do I do this with the system on (i.e. water being heated) or turn it off. Or does it even matter? Thanks

Just thought I'd end this thread with a happy note to say the seller refunded me in full. It's taught me a lesson, never again that's for sure. Sometimes doing things on the cheap ends up costing you more.

Gave them a bell after receiving no reply to my email at 11am, and told to call back at 2pm, when the chap who knows about taps comes in. Great!

Thanks That sounds a good idea and could work when fixing the first pipe on, but then I think there may not be enough room to tighten the second tail. Thats what I thought, but they just dribble when the water is truned on. I have tried lubricating them with Boss White, then grease, then...
