kitchen touchup turning into bigger job - advice needed

Thanks for the replies. I really hope that's not distemper as I've skimmmed 2 walls today. Lots of diluted Pva on first, plaster seemed fine when working, so fingers crossed. I ripped out the problem section and re-rendered it, so if this bit holds and the rest falls off, I know why. There is...

kitchen touchup turning into bigger job - advice needed

Thanks hudds. When you say rip it all off, do you mean just the exterior wall which has suffered from leakage, or the whole room? I'd really rather just reskim the internals if poss - they are fairly intact and the stippling with matte paint gives a convenient key.

changing fitting on copper sinktap pipes

thanks seco. yep, it sure is ugly under there - i take no responsibility - i inherited that pipe'work'! I have just been contemplating cutting the taptails short and using flexi-pipe, but isolation vales are prob a better idea. thanks again for the advice - and taking time to mark up...

hi all, i'm after a little advice please. i'm planning on replacing my kitchen sink but the current tap pipes are soldered together. what is the best way to disconnect those soldered pipes so I can get the old sink out? see photo for an idea of the scenario: the connections on the...
