    Troubleshoot on lighting

I am good John, how are you? I would guess it would be induced voltage, not sure where from though, as the circuit is run independent of any thing else. Live feed in shows no sign of induced voltage, when isolated. But switch lines do, never come across anything this high.

    Tiling in this wall!!

Ideally they would be off, just to prevent marking and damage. But can easily be done with them on.

    Tiling in this wall!!

Tends to happen when tiles are removed from a dry lined wall. It's normal, should easily be repaired by a skilled plasterer.

    Troubleshoot on lighting

Just been to test off a lighting circuit. r1+r2 fine at 1.01 ohms IR passes at +200 mohms Voltage at loop and switch line when closed is 240V Zs at the live loops OK Zs at switch lines OK But I am getting a voltage across the switch line when the switch is open. There are three lights on...

    Cylinder Heating Elements

They both have rods attached and the cylinder allows both to enter the cylinder housing well. This occurs twice on the cylinder a set of two at the bottom then a set of two a third way up. This set uo allows for boost facility. Just never come across them being linked/paired like this. My...

    LED downlights and insulation

You can purchase downlights that can be covered with thermal insulation. It is wise to give them ventilation, there are also insulation guards but if you are restricted with void space they will very likely not be usable. So I would go for a low profile fittings that can be covered in thermal...

    WiFi booster

That's a bugger My upstairs (where HUBB is) and front room (where TV is) are both radial circuits

    WiFi booster

That is great information Lucid, when you say ring main/ring final circuit, does that mean it does not work on radial circuit just a ring?

    WiFi booster

All interesting stuff and very much appreciated but TBH I would not know how to determine the measurements/readings you are discussing. Yes the Higher Mbps are at a hardwired to internet PC, the location/distance as the crow flys between the TV in question and the router is about 20 foot. The...
