    Thanks for the ideas guys,sorted by cutting rawlplugs to max.depth and super gluing in place.After leaving for 5 minutes,screws "bit"perfectly.Door works perfectly now ta!!!

    Thanks for replies guys,can't use bigger screws,original ones were 12mm long ,MDF is 12mm,allowing for thickness of hinge fixing,screws are maximum length,bigger gauge won't go through hinge fixing hole.Will woodfiller be strong enough,would mixing with a drop of PVA help???
