Thanks Dan. The rusted valve looks like a bog standard 5 quid gate valve with the circular red shut-off handle you find under sinks. Its 15mm pipe as well and not 22 mm like the Honeywell.
Might it be to do with the water supply ?

Hi: I discovered a rusted gate valve (red handle on 15 mm pipe coming up through the floor and then going at right angles) with the handle shank rusted away so it won't turn (on the bottom left of the larger diameter pipes leading up to the central heating boiler - picture needs turning 90...
Thanks, everyone. Its the 24I RSF model. Its not the fan, the pressure is OK (around 1 bar) and it seems as though it may be the pressure switch.
Is this easy to change ?

Hi: Boiler fires up and the water coming from the tap starts off hot but quickly gets very cold.
Any suggestions for what I could try ?

Hi Tony: Re my post of Monday, your advice to check the expansion tank paid off. I crawled through the loft, located the tank and found the tank empty with the ball valve jammed. Fixed it, it filled with water, and now the hot water is working perfectly.

I have a potterton profile 60 boiler (gravity fed). The radiators are nice and hot, but the domestic hot water is not warming up. I get good hot water when I use the immersion heater in the heating cylinder. Its also possible (but not 100% sure ) that when the hot water in the cylinder heated...
