    Half downstairs radiators not working

Thanks all. Slow reply here as I've been working on the radiators. Checked if the valves were jammed/blocked, even changed a few. But no luck sadly. I fear it's something way behind the floors/walls, possibly in the manifold. Will try and find a good local plumber I think as I'm fairly stumped.

    Half downstairs radiators not working

Thanks for quick replies guys. We have tried previously closing all 12 working rads, but no effect on the others. Still stone cold. 1 or 2 had a warm pipe leading to them, but not for long. We are going to experiment with replacing the valves, but I think it's a long shot. If it was just one...

    Half downstairs radiators not working

Hi all. After some expert opinions/advice please. We moved into our house 6 months ago. Now winter is coming, we've realised that 4 of our 8 downstairs radiators aren't heating up at all. All 8 upstairs work fine. My first suspicion is blockages in the microbore pipes, as we had this in our...

Different water pressure on 2 gauges, and leaking auto air vent

Thanks. Good spot. Why on earth would anyone want to shut that off? Definitely some odd plumbing in this house. Have booked a service in with a local independent. Hopefully build up a good relationship as I think we'll be using them again to help unblock some pipes in the near future.

Different water pressure on 2 gauges, and leaking auto air vent

Thanks. Agree that the pressure gauge attached to the boiler seems ropey. It's got one wire attaching to a pipe, and fluctuates when you move the wire. Spoke to another plumber. He said adding a cap to the auto air vent might help stop it leaking. Will get the boiler serviced too. Is it best...

Different water pressure on 2 gauges, and leaking auto air vent

Here you go. I should add that a couple of downstairs radiators don't get any heat, so I think we may have some blocked pipes.

Different water pressure on 2 gauges, and leaking auto air vent

Hi all First time poster, but I can normally find solutions on here, but this problem has me stumped and I can't find it elsewhere on here, so thought I'd better post. We've been in our house 3 months. It was built in 2000, and I'd say the boiler and all heating system components have been in...
