Adding a second socket to a room off of another socket.. Is it really this 'easy'?

The old price or my figure? TBF the old price was a sparky who loved in our street and it took about 30mins and we had all the materials already

Is there anyway to save this 'Lawn' on a budget... What's the best option?

Thank you! In that case I may go down that route then. As I say in the other comment I'm not after anything perfect just to improve it a little when I get paid I'll get some grass food with weed killer and follow your instructions

Must admit somewhere between the two. We don't have kids and I don't want a show lawn really. Just something that looks 'Okay' If that makes sense. I personally don't mind the odd weed, dandelion etc but I'd like them to be in the minority rather than the above photo.

Is there anyway to save this 'Lawn' on a budget... What's the best option?

We moved into a our new house in February and love itm while we've been focusing on the inside our attention is slowly turning to the outside as the weather changes Sadly, as you can see, the grass is full of weeds and I don't really know where to start. After a few days of research I've come...

Adding a second socket to a room off of another socket.. Is it really this 'easy'?

I guess about £120. In our old house I paid £60 for the same thing but that was about 5-6 years back.

Thank you to everyone Ody who replied. I've read all your replies and thank you for every one of them. Also, I'm so sorry for the late reply. Sadly my wife was taken ill (She's fine now thank goodness) with a severe kidney infection. I'll be totally honest a huge part of your very in-depth...

Adding a second socket to a room off of another socket.. Is it really this 'easy'?

Hi there. We recently moved into a house which needs a bit of working doing to it. While my wife and I have been able to do most of it ourselves (changing taps, fitting a new bath, refitting double plugs, changing lights etc) there's a few things we're not 100% sure on when it comes to electrics...

Extending a 4 socket gangway plug cable.

And I appreciate it. But I honestly still don't feel confident in doing it. I have tried soldering before but it's never gone well lol thank you though.

Extending a 4 socket gangway plug cable.

Yeah I am thinking about it tbh. I'm being tight and trying to recycle one of my 7 spare gang plugs but at the same time obviously be safe. Our house we've just moved into has basically one plug in each room and my gangways are all 1-2meters. We literally have 0 savings so we're just trying to...

Extending a 4 socket gangway plug cable.

Lol sadly after opening it I discovered it was infact welded and I don't have the confidence (or brave enough) to weld it. However, I am wondering would it be okay to simply strip the plug off, use a 13amp terminal box and extend the wire that way? Like this...

Extending a 4 socket gangway plug cable.

Ty for the reply! I must admit I haven't opened the plug yet as I'm waiting to borrow a friend's triangulara screw driver. I opened one ages ago and it wasn't soldered and I thought they were all rewireable lol so thanks for the heads up. If I open it and it's soldered I'll pick up the one in...

Extending a 4 socket gangway plug cable.

Hey. Odd question one that I assume is rather straight forward but I just wanted to run it past a few people here. I am no sparky but I've extended lamp plugs etc many times, changed plugs etc. . I currently have a 2m gangway plug (pictured) and wish to extend it to 9m. I have the the correct...

Can I use my Boiler cupboard (pics) as a wardrobe?

Stupidly never thought about the manual lol it says 600mm If it's a solid wall/door or 5mm if it's a removable door/panel. I should be fine then! It also says no ventilation is required. Thanks matey

Can I use my Boiler cupboard (pics) as a wardrobe?

Just pretty much the title. It's in a small bedroom and there isn't enough space in the room for a bed,a desk and a wardrobe. My plan was to put a bar across the cupboard and hang clothes up. Due to the depth of the cupboard they would not be touching the boiler, pipes etc. The rail could...
