yes, I am a convert having sold my expensive speaker cable and now use twin & earth in an active system. I am sorry to report that I use 10mm on the bass which I think sounds better than 2.5mm :D

thats why i lsiten to music on cheap cables :D My speaker wire is also twin & earth (don't use the earth ofcourse)
my system rivals other sysytems that cost £30k - I know this because I have heard both. I have done this by using diy cables and pro-audio equipment used in studios.
i have had it checked over without going into detail but thanks for the advice. I now know that 6mm flex can be bought as well as 10 and 16mm so it would have been a much easier route to go down.
the current being drawn from my system (9 psu in total) is pretty small - no more than 10 amps...

there are a number of different wattgates available ranging in price fro £15 to £150!!!!
They are rated at 10a upwards and designed to take different size flex cables. Mine are 6mm. It sounds better to my ears even though the equipment is only drawing a small current??
