Good suggestion, that was it. I compared the pin to one from a working rad and it was much shorter. 2 minutes of wiggling from side to side has now given us a hot bathroom! Thanks for the help.

All our rads work fine apart from one upstairs. It has a TRV (is this the thermal-control gadget?). If I open the TRV to the max, and open the valve on the other side, it's still stone cold. I also touched the pipes inflow & outflow and both are stone cold. I tried bleeding and it is is...
