Hi I am installing a raised garden bed against the house. Its against a part of the house that's quite high, such that the top soil level will be 6 inches below the DPC. Should I waterproof the bricks, or just leave them to "breathe" as its below the DPC An air gap is not feasible...

Thanks for the reply. How can this expalin the boiler actually firing ? I assumed the stat would just keep the pump running with no heating. Also the valves indicate closed (cw & hw), even with the pump running I actually see the boiler firing on & off all night - only for short periods ...
