Hi
I am installing a raised garden bed against the house. Its against a part of the house that's quite high, such that the top soil level will be 6 inches below the DPC.

Should I waterproof the bricks, or just leave them to "breathe" as its below the DPC

An air gap is not feasible

Thanks
Rich

Raising how much? How much soil? Where is the internal floor level? Solid wall/cavity? Got a photo?

The raised bed will be about 1.5 foot deep , the soilbe below the DPC and below internal floor level.

The building is about 10yrs old, I believe its a cavity

Thanks

I'd use a bit of dpm, rather than applying anything to the bricks, then if someone removes it later it won't look any different. We assume no air bricks will be covered over.
