Hi there, I am looking at purchasing a house which requires some work on it both internally and externally, which is great. However, I am unsure how we can go about to insulate the exterior walls at the front and back of the house as they are built using uPVC type materials (see picture below)...

The fusebox, no I haven't looked inside it as of yet. The lighting circuit for the outside lights is earthed, the only part of the wiring set that isn't earthed is the switch for the kitchen light.

The valve that the cartridge fits into, so it can be replaced every year. A whole load of some sort of crystals (green and looks like limescale).

Does a Combi Boiler need to have a water softer unit (such as an AquaDial) cartridge? The one in my bungalow needs replacing as the whole unit is fused together but just wondering if it is worth while or not.
