Thanks, why do some trvs not turn off properly? Is it a frost setting?

If a trv won't turn off fully when trying to take a radiator off. And you don't have a plastic cover that you can screw on instead of the trv that will fit .is there anyway around a drain down?

Is there any way of taking apart a solvent welded condensate fitting or is it just a case of cutting out socket and re-do?

Thanks the one in the link looks the same as the one in the valve would prefer to replace rather then swap whole valve.

The washer as in the one you gave me the link for? Or the other washer, theres a small circle one with a hole in that is between the nut and valve.

One final question when filling abit of water comes out of were the nut is that you undo to get to the washer. Any reason for this?

Ok they harden which doesn't allow them to move enough to turn the water off?

Thanks I inspected the washer and it seemed ok. I was expecting it to be split?

Can anyone advise what type of washer this float valve takes? It has no make or model name on it. Or can the hole cartridge that the washer screws out with be bought?

Is the above correct that only an internal spring will do?

Can 15mm rigid coated coper be bent? I guess you can only bend it with a internal spring and not a pipe bender as the guids wouldn't fit

thanks its the one with the brass nut I need the washer for so the tapered one maybe. What size loose flat washer am I best off getting then?
