Air in highest radiator with Worcester Bosch combi

Hi. My bathroom ladder-type towel radiator requires regular bleeding. The water level in it drops by about 8-10 inches over a two to three week period. The boiler pressure gauge also drops from approx. 1.5 down to 0.5. No other rads seem to be affected. The radiator is at the highest point in...

    polish/varnish

On furniture, if you stain wood and polish it, it'll be very difficult, if not impossible, to apply varnish on top of the polish. Wax Polishes tend to seal wood with a temporary barrier. I'm an amateur DIYer and, at the risk of teaching Granny to suck eggs, what I do with great success is...

1990 nissan micra starting or not

Crafty, when cold is the car's exhaust smoke Black? Blue? White? Any sooty deposits on the bodywork around tail pipe area? Get someone to hold a bit of cloth near the outlet for a few seconds when you start up. Has it collected a load of soot? Now you've got enough info to take to your...

    ldv convoy king pin.

Who remembers seeing Morris Minors, Triumph Heralds et al, regularly down on their knees at side of road with broken KP's? Lack of servicing every time. I know. I've recovered and repaired them.

    shocking

I sometimes get a shock. So what I do (when I remember that is), is to open door, get out, touch earth before car. Works for me.

    RED DIESEL

Probably needs a service and injectors renewing. Certain CI (Diesel) engines can run on other types of fuel, I've even heard of folk occasionally putting cooking oil in to lubricate fuel system working parts. Risky or what?

    Sanity Check - CV Joint?

Jimbo, sounds like CV's. Find a large area (or a quiet mini roundabout). Drive with plenty of wheel lock on. If the noise gets worst (Clunky) it's the CV that's worn. Wheel bearing noise won't go away, even if you lift the pedal; it's normally a constant noise. But ATEOTD if you are going to...

    Mobile car body repair franchises

LOL :P I know that feeling, David & Julie. Have you ever found a bay in the middle of a huge car park, not a car in sight? Come back later and found the only other car that's arrived has parked right next to you? Aren't folk funny? :P

IF YOU WANT TRAINEE GAS MAN BANNED VOTE HERE.

No need to call for a ban on anyone. That's what Moderator's are for, isn't it? I'm relatively new to this site, and just glanced some of SGM's postings - and those of you who've taken the bait. To me it looks like some of you are enjoying the banter, other's just taking umbrage! For...

    Mobile car body repair franchises

Car's driveable. I've used a one-man business and recommended him, but she single, doesn't earn much, and is going through the 'first car - scratched!' blues. :( She also needs it to travel to work - she's an hourly paid agency care worker - and works night shifts anywhere they want to send...

    Mobile car body repair franchises

Has anyone used one of those mobile car body repair franchises? The ones who'll repair small bumps, scratches, plastic bumper repairs etc? Reason being, a friend has badly grazed the front bumper of her Polo (green metallic colour coded) front bumper. Gate post jumped out at her she says...
