Removing stuck fence panel between two slotted concrete posts

One last question if I may. The posts I have have two different slot sizes (55mm and 50mm) (image of dimensions attached). Is there any reason for the two different sizes?

Removing stuck fence panel between two slotted concrete posts

I’m extending an existing fence by two panels that has been in situ for 21 years. I need to remove an existing panel to replace the gravel board but the panel ‘appears’ stuck. Is there a technique to remove it? Secondly, to match the existing line, I’ll be using a 6x5 panel with a 6inch...

HRM Wallstar oil fired boiler 12/14 Short Cycling or Normal?

The weather here has been very mild, so have had no need for the heating. I did look back over some notes I took when I just moved in and the pattern was as follows: Boiler set between min and max, five rads with their TRVs fully open, and one on number 2. Wall stat, at 18 degrees After...

HRM Wallstar oil fired boiler 12/14 Short Cycling or Normal?

Yes, that’s correct. If the room is at 15 degrees, and I set the room stat to 21 degrees. For the first 30 mins the boiler comes on and stays on, then it cycles. At this point the room temp may be around 19 degrees, so the boiler cycles until 21 degrees is satisfied. It’s a 2 bed bungalow with...

HRM Wallstar oil fired boiler 12/14 Short Cycling or Normal?

Thank you for the words of advice @Exedon With my rudimentry knowledge of heating systems, the only conclusion I could reach was it was operating correctly. Its been serviced by a local guy for over twenty years (nearly all oil boilers in this area) who has a good reputation, so I’ll use him...

HRM Wallstar oil fired boiler 12/14 Short Cycling or Normal?

This may also be worth knowing. The pump I think is variable? Grundfos Alpha 15-60 130 with a Honeywell DU145 auto bypass valve. I suppose at some point I will have to explore how to set the DU145 up with a variable speed pump, but that's for another day.

HRM Wallstar oil fired boiler 12/14 Short Cycling or Normal?

The room stat is a Honeywell Smartfit. All the rads apart from the bathroom have TRVs which are fully open.

HRM Wallstar oil fired boiler 12/14 Short Cycling or Normal?

HRM Wallstar Oil fired Boiler 12/14: Short Cycling or Normal? Hi I’ve recently moved into a property that has an oil fired Wallstar Boiler (12/14 model ?) that’s around 20 years old. It has a good service record and ‘appears’ to be working. When it is being used for heat, the boiler fires...

A question regarding 'Reinforced UPVC door panel'

I was due to replace a 28mm door panel today (replace cat flap). I was advised to buy a 28mm reinforced panel with 4mm MDF sandwiched between two layers of polystyrene. Which I did. However, when it turned up the 4mm MDF is on the edge between the white plastic and styrene (see pic). Is this...

Is this wood sub floor on top of concrete?

This is a 20 year old bungalow. When I pulled the carpets up I noticed a series of routed inspection covers. Under which appears a damp membrane covering 'heating pipe junctions'?. I dont want to cut the membrane if I can help it; however, would there be a concrete base and some form of...
