Unsure of Double Oven Fitting Location Advice Please :)

Yes a new circuit, there's a local electrical guy i've used before to check my connections, will be done by the book! I'm qualified in Electronics to a very high level but this does not give me the right to do my own electrics sadly, i just do the donkey work running everything :rolleyes...

Unsure of Double Oven Fitting Location Advice Please :)

Yes i guess that would be ok, nice and simple. The oven is 4.2KW (17.5A @ 240) so will go to 32A with 6mm cable. Trying to find some other guides online, some do seem to have ovens next to sinks, some don't have a choice. There is a gap between the cabinet and the wall of about 100mm so a...

Unsure of Double Oven Fitting Location Advice Please :)

I really wish there was mate, it's the only place it can go, the kitchen is very small and she keeps saying she'd love it there. Also need to consider the isolation switch position.

Unsure of Double Oven Fitting Location Advice Please :)

Hello Some much needed advice please. We have an elderly neighbour who is having trouble bending to take things out of her free standing oven and she has asked me if I could fit her a new electric built in oven so she does not need to bend anymore. Her kitchen is a little out of date and...

De Minimis (margin of error) help regarding new drawings & application.

Thanks for everyone's input, been fun reading through the replies! I'll of course build as spot on as i can to the plans and if it goes over a little then surly that could be forgiven. Lets face it, not all extensions are absolutely spot on, some over a little and some under a little, i'm...

De Minimis (margin of error) help regarding new drawings & application.

This is amazing, the planners don't do site checks and the BCO does not measure anything.....so who does? The original extension has brick face up to DPC, that measures 4 Metres spot on from left to right, then it's rendered above the DPC, this added 20mm each side, so at the bottom below DPC...

De Minimis (margin of error) help regarding new drawings & application.

I think you'll be ok I guess at the end of the day the actual deviation allowance is totally at the discretion of the BCO when he or she checks it. I'll make dimensions exact on the drawings, if they approve my chosen brick face then i can brick exactly to specs on plan. The house is mostly...

De Minimis (margin of error) help regarding new drawings & application.

Oh i dooooo like that! Great idea but i'm not sure on 100mm deviation, lol. I could go +/- 1% on the 4M wide build, that give me 4cm either way. Thanks Ron

De Minimis (margin of error) help regarding new drawings & application.

Firstly planning permission drawings so not that technical then onto the technical drawings if / when approved. Just planning ahead Woody. I like MrRusty's reply, adding a +/- error. Maybe i could do +/- 1%, that would give them pre-notice of 4cm deviation? Thanks Ron

De Minimis (margin of error) help regarding new drawings & application.

Hello.....again! ;) I'm currently preparing CAD drawings for application to build a single story extension. My question is regarding the De Minimis or margin of error allowance when you come to build. For example, on my drawings i'm making the extension 4 Metres wide, if i block on the lines...

Neighbour Pulling Down The Fence! - Please HELP!

Thanks Matty The boundary is pretty clear luckily, there are concrete posts set in the ground, he'll never get those out trust me, he can just about manage the fence. Just had a thought, if he does pull everything down i'll just add another cheap picket fence on our side very close to boundary...
