Also just noticed that there is a very slight leak at the bypass pipe at the back of the diverter valve, would this be the cause of no hot water?

We are having problems with the hot water, basically the c/h works fine and hot water operates when c/h is on but the boiler wont ignite itself when tap is turned on when only hot water is required Anyone give us any ideas??
