See first post. I tried to fit BGs own smart socket inside the BG Storm Weatherproof Shroud. It does not fit. BG also sell a smart socket in a Weatherproof Shroud, I might have to buy that. My guess is they've changed the shroud ever so slight to accommodate the different BG smart socket...

Only solution to what exactly? You've posted a picture of a 1G Storm Weatherproof Socket shroud I already have a 2G Storm Weatherproof Socket shroud, I want to get a 2G smart socket with a faceplate that fits inside it.

The faceplate of the BG smart socket does not seat in the front part of the Storm Weatherproof shroud. So it cannot be fitted. The faceplate of the BG smart socket is just that little bit larger than the non-smart double gang.

Genuinely have no idea what you're talking about. I've even posted a photo of what I've got above. Which is clearly a dual gang. Are you ok?
