You could put concrete gravel boards under the panels. PS sorry just read your post again and realise panels are to be high up.

    Patio Problem

I mixed up 3 spade loads of sharp sand with 1 spade load of cement at a time, mixed in a little water so if you squeeze some in your hand no water comes out of it. I mixed it in a bucket and sat with a little pointing trowel and did between the pavers. Im very pleased with my handy work.

Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 HW Too Hot

No wonder, that was the first thing he did, looked around and asked me if we had one. I said no and he went to his van and got one ... then cocked the boiler up.

Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 HW Too Hot

Well, the first engineer was older than the second. I do recall now the first one saying he had been a service engineer, but there was more money doing callouts. Maybe he had not been a call out engineer very long, I dont know. He had rung his Manager and Worcester but he kept shutting...

Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 HW Too Hot

The original problem was the pilot light kept going out and he did fit a new thermocouple (not thermostat as I said above).

Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 HW Too Hot

Yep. On the 6th I requested a different engineer because the first one clearly had no idea what he was doing. He kept saying it was a complicated boiler and fitted lots of different bits, none of which were the problem, only the new thermostat he had fitted on the first visit. Also on his...

Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 HW Too Hot

No disrespect meant to anyone but if I had to pay for a diagnosis and it was wrong I would not be happy to pay again. We had 6 visits in one week to our Highflow 400. The first 5 were from the same engineer who could not find the problem. The 6th from a different engineer who put right what...

Old Slab is in the line of new fence

Curisoity would get the better of me and the earth would have to be dug out to see whats down there before worrying about the fence post. You could re-align the posts using a half panel so a whole panel goes over the top.

    What is this?

Thanks Mattie but we have a very large garden and this thing is so very tiny. During the war this area was rural and relatively safe and used to get the evacuees from London so I think an air raid shelter would have been slightly bigger. Been talking to an old local and apparently there was a...

Round cedarwood hot tub, pergola, decking & paving 09 pr

Ours is outside. Our property is L shaped at the back so we have it in the L so it is sheltered by two walls. We put the tub in first then decked around it only as high as the decking joists, then round the far side of the decking we put railings with wooden posts. Looks neat and like I say...

Round cedarwood hot tub, pergola, decking & paving 09 pr

We have an 8'x8' tub set at 37 degrees all year round with an insulated cover. Our electric bill is horrendous but the tub is most enjoyable in the winter. The cedar tub looks really cool, all you need now is the waterproof TV.

    What is this?

Thank you so so very much. How can we recreat it as it would be a brilliant feature? I take it we need air vents, how tall out of the ground would it have been and what sort of roof etc etc etc.??????

    What is this?

You could well be right, from the old paperwork I remember the old chap had shooting rights when he purchased the land. So bunnies and pheasants could have hung from the rusty iron bar. There may well have been another one, or even more higher up before demolition.
