Boiler cutting out, but restarts without reset

So I don't have to have him back.....he's our local Baxi guy, and there is no-one else in the area. So if there was something I could do myself....open/half close valves etc, I would rather try to sort it myself to be honest!

I've had the PCBs out, but there doesn't look like there is anything to adjust on them? Cheers

Boiler cutting out, but restarts without reset

I have the heating set at 21 degree's. There is nothing for me to set on the boiler itself. Cheers

Boiler cutting out, but restarts without reset

Hi Terry, Thanks for the reply. So the stopping and starting is probably normal - and it has possibly always done it? I'm maybe just being negative, as we had no heating for 3 days while he was stocking up on more spare parts! So I want everything to be 100%, and thought this was another...

Boiler cutting out, but restarts without reset

Hi guys, I've recently had a boiler repair (https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/leaking-potterton-promax-he.495649/#post-4069085) It was a leaking O-Ring on the flow switch. BUT, the Baxi repair guy unfortunately flooded the kitchen, boiler, and himself while draining the system, which...

    Leaking Potterton Promax HE

Hi, Yes, it is boiler cover, not plumbing.

    Leaking Potterton Promax HE

Thanks for the replies guys, I will take your advice. My wife reminded me (luckily) that we do have boiler cover. I found the paper work, and it is from D&G, but it was via Potterton/Baxi. Do they repair that side of the boiler - as that is more plumbing isn't it? Cheers

    Leaking Potterton Promax HE

Hi Guys, I've had a leaking boiler for a while, but could never see anything damp on the boiler itself, just a puddle on the kitchen worktop after the boiler hadn't been in use for a while. I think it must be getting worse now, as there is a small, continuous leak quite regular now. I presume...

    Unvented System

Hi guys, I moved in to a new (to me) house not so long ago, and have had a bit of an issue recently. When the heating (it seems) has been off for a while, when the boiler fires back up, there is a small puddle of water under it, but that is the only time it leaks, and has just started doing...

Heating not working, but hot water is - Help, cold baby!

Heating not working, but hot water is - Help, cold baby!

Thanks again for the replies! Just to confirm, I tested Brown wire to Neutral, without Hive calling and there was 0v. With Hive turned on, I was getting 240v, yet the valve didn't move, so does that sound like like a knackered actuator/valve head? No where local seems to sell the Danfoss...
