actually I'm not going to presume she's done everything right !! knowing I'll not get a straight answer is there anything that will stop it working like 1. not selecting any cycle 2. not putting any detergent and leaving detergent door open 3. no salt in machine 4. anything else

MY daughter is having problems with her dishwasher. There is a switch in the door which she switches to on (a light then comes on) but when she closes the door nothing happens, I presume she's done everything else right. Btw - will these dishwashers work if there is no salt in them?

Apparently I had connected everything right. Electrician came in and couldn't find a problem until he went into the socket and found that the supply lead to my FCU was brittle and broke off when he was checking things out. HE sorted that all out reconnected everyhting in the way I had done and...

Right latest saga - after taking the light switch off to photograph for one of the posts I put it back. Followed the instructions and same wires went in same holes. Still the same effect red lamp comes on when no bulb in but light and bulb don't work when there is one in. The wall socket...

The supply has an earth. There are only 2 cables going to the lamp.

i've tried the neutral (from the supply - none on the load) into the connector on the light itself and also the housing too.

OK Will do, but I took the supply (from the socket) and put the red supply in the hole that says supply L the black in supply N and then red Load into Load L and black load into LOad N. Am I getting my supply and load mixed up? Having googled it I don't think I am. Not in a position to...
