Most will be either made / assembled in Asia (China or Vietnam) even Ring. In a domestic situation this wouldn’t bother me too much, if someone in China wants to watch me washing the car, cutting the grass or talking to the postman, so be it, I’d rather watch paint dry.

If you don’t have a subscription, you have a video doorbell that allows you to see and speak to whoever rings the bell, live. The main thing for me is being able to view a caller after the event (if you were unable to answer the call at the time) or view an intruder on your property. I had a...

I have a Haydon lockable Steel Safe Box, I have an Ethernet cable connection so don’t know how it affects the WiFi signal, all cables are fed into the rear of the safe box though rubber grommets. It’s mounted on angle iron cantilever brackets with security bolts and fastened to the gable wall...

My CCTV system has the DVR in a lockable steel safe box located in the loft with two fans for cooling / ventilation it has a 6TB HDD and a UPS backup so if the fibre cable is cut / damaged all I lose is remote access. Same with my alarm system, fully wired, so while a damaged fibre cable would...

Glad you’re sorted, hopefully connecting the chime will be a little easier

When I get home I’ll have a look with SADP / iVMS and screenshot some settings

Are you using iOS or Android app, check your app is set up for allowing notifications. I’m on iOS Settings - Apps - Hik-Connect - Notifications

I’ll check my settings when I get home, but it won’t be until late tonight. Have you tried removing the .wav ringtone just in case that’s causing a conflict

No, only if you want a chime as well, it should notify the Hik-connect app with or without changing the output. Are you connected to your NVR via a PoE switch ? I’m not at home atm but just checked on my Hik-connect app, have you got Report Events enabled ?

I must admit I’ve not tried to upload a ringtone (.wav file) to my device, and I’m not sure if this can be done when using the unit as a standalone device or it can only be achieved when used with the indoor station / screen.

Mine is connected via a PoE switch and it just worked, the bell push notified the app and i set up a detection zone on iVMS / SADP which alerts when someone is approaching the door. Changed the output settings to “doorbell” and connected to a Byron 776 chime and everything works as it should...

Apparently a lot of chimes won’t work with the Hikvision bell pushes, I did a lot of research and I ended up getting a Byron 776 chime, it has a built in transformer so mains supply up to the chime. Then, after changing the output settings on my DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) I connected the N/O and Common...

I used the the predecessor of the one that you are looking at, DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) it’s a 2MP camera. It’s connected to my DVR with Cat6 cable via a PoE switch. Reason being I wanted to run an internal chime off it as well as notifications via Hik-Connect and this particular model has an option...

I’ve just ditched my Ring Doorbell, as well as the £50 / year subscription, with them being WiFi, the signal can be blocked. I already had Hikvision CCTV system installed so I’ve added a Hikvision Video Doorbell to the DVR, it does all that the Ring Doorbell did plus it records onto the HDD 24/7...

I used a Netgear GS305P switch, it needs to be a POE model, I’m pretty certain that the DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) needs to be connected to a NVR via a POE switch, but by all means check it out. The DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) has a 2mp camera, there is a new model out with a 4mp camera
