Still very happy with bifolds, still opening and closing with no effort. Had a couple of minor issues which were both nothing to do with the door itself, on both occasions the level of customer service was fantastic.
The first issue was last winter when we had that very long cold spell and the temp outside was as low as -10, the sealant had covered a weep hole in the drainage channel causing a build up of water which froze, opened traffic door and could not shut it again. The customer support manager told me exactly what to do to get the door shut, they sent someone within 48hrs to have a look. They spotted the problem and trimmed the sealant.
The second issue was a minor adjustment to the locking mechanism on the traffic door, again related to the installation rather than the door. Looking back I'm 100% sure it was like that from day 1, the problem only occurred in the morning when the sun had been on the doors in the summer, so the fitters did not spot a problem and it was a number of weeks before I noticed. It is amazing how the colour affects temp, mine are anthracite. Again customer service first class. No problems in last 13 months.
One tip for you, I am glad that I did my research on the vents, I think they spoil the look do contacted building regs, because I have velux windows as well (with vents) I did not need them on the bifolds.
