Our Bathroom has a concrete floor with underlay and carpet, we'd like to install electric underfloor heating but not raise the floor height too much, if at all. On that basis, we thought a karndean type flooring might work, certainly if combined with the foil type electric underfloor heating...

Turned up the thermostat on the boiler to just a notch under max and that seems to have done it, the boiler pump is now shutting off a few mins after the boiler switches off. That seems to be it all back to 100% operation! maybe I'll get another few years out of the system yet 8) Thanks.

I have a honda petrol generator that in my last home was connected to the house circuit and could be used during power cuts - there was a manual switch next to the consumer unit that was used to switch over the circuit to the generator. The generator only has industrial type 240 v sockets...

Anyone help with this, is it just a general bonding silicon, or are there specialist bonding products specifically for bonding composite to quartz? I've also been advised to build some form of wooden support under the rim of the sink to help keep the sink secure - any advice welcomed, thanks.

Thanks, that's good to know, I'll probably use the money I'm saving to replace the heat store as I'm looking to add an air source heat pump and I need a second coil in the tank.

I was on the verge of changing out my camray 3 for a grant condensing boiler, but following it blowing the door open after a failed start, I had it serviced. The chap who serviced it said it wasn't really worth changing it out as the camray tested at 90.3% net efficiency and 85% gross. Also...

Just closing out this thread. I took the burner out for a look, no sign of any fuel leaks, the burner and combustion chamber were pretty clean, there was som carbon build up on the electrodes so gave them a good clean and bolted it back together. Ran fine till the chap arrived to service it...

Been running fine since I reset the lockout, heating engineer coming Monday. If the solenoid v/v was leaking fuel I'd probably smell the fuel - given it's heating a heatstore, it's probably firing up every 15 or 20 mins when the heating is on and it's as cold as it is, so any leaking fuel is...

I did think I heard a bang when we were having tea :roll: The door clips are pretty tight and it needs a good pull to open it. What would cause is sort of pressure build up in the cabinet - a build up of soot causing some sort of blow back?
