extractor fan replacement with quieter one?

[/url] looks impressive although the point from the comment on youtube is valid: "The other fans weren't doing anything because they weren't turned on...you could see the propeller was still" that said it's spec appears to be the same as the current one in terms of flow allow...

extractor fan replacement with quieter one?

I have a Silavent PVS100TBB in the bathroom and it makes a lot of noise (always has). I noticed this site by fluke - http://www.quietmark.com/category/archives/extractorfans/ - and I wondered if anyone had any experience of any of the "quieter" fans at all? Also - how easy is it to...

    intermediate switch fused spur?

thank you very much for that. it looks like I may have been too smart for my own good and not able to achieve what I want having looked at the instructions again: the hope had been for: constant on / PIR / off

    intermediate switch fused spur?

thanks guys - i'll have a loot sudden thought - will an intermediate switch do what I want? The PIR's manual talks of a "double-throw switch" but what's wanted is effectively a switch with 3-positions.

    intermediate switch fused spur?

anyone know of any product that does this? It doesn't look like it as I can't find any (ideally it'd brushed, chrome with rounded corners and white switches, or perhaps two products that can be torn apart and put together) it's for use with a PIR (rather than having to do the on-off-on...

best product for filling small holes?

Hi, I've been using one strike and it's not bad (although does require you to leave too much on and then sand it slightly ... despite their claims). although I've noticed a few posts suggesting to use easifill what's the best product for filling small holes in plasterboard? (I'm...

    stanley gdx entry pac fob?

I presume a locksmith, or someone with whatever interface you need to interact with the control system and register a new one. But I don't know. Likewise, I don't know if it's possible to clone an existing one (to save having to interact with the control panel)

    stanley gdx entry pac fob?

anyone know anything about these? apparently £20 + VAT to get a new one via the property factor but there must be a cheaper way. is it not possible to clone an existing one, or what sort of equipment is needed to enrol a new fob via the control panel? thanks

Electric shower - options for increasing pressure?

okay great - thanks, at least I know that i'll need to get a half decent electrician in and not just someone that will wire it up without checking things. I take it checking the tails, fuse, etc is relatively straight forward though? thank you again for your advice, it's appreciated

Electric shower - options for increasing pressure?

how much of an issue is this likely to be - presumably the current shower has been using up to about half this anyway? The property is a flat rather than a house. Or would that RCD need put up a bit too? Or is that unsafe? thanks again

Electric shower - options for increasing pressure?

thanks bolshy. I've checked again and next to the WSB40 it says "Circuits protected by RCD" and there's a Wylex 80A WRS80/2. Does this do the trick? thanks again

Electric shower - options for increasing pressure?

another quick question - hopefully. there's currently a Wylex WSB40 on the circuit for the shower - is it okay just to have that swapped for a WSB50 or should it be a proper RCBO? thanks

outdoor wall lights, couple of questions

thanks - the problem is the wall is a sandstone type brick so the black (or indeed white) would stand out if I used steel lights. although I've discovered the other problem is that i'll need to find a PIR with a short range. on another note - I've been reading up on notifiable work and...
