    Ford Focus Central Locking Woes

I too appreciate the tips from birkee. Spot on. I don't know why the repair shop didn't do that when they changed the battery in the fob but all's well that ends well. Also had a go at disconnecting the Siemens box (once I eventually found it). That didn't seem to help. It's only a 10...

Central Locking Sensor on Ford Focus

I didn't do it myself. The service station did it when they did my MOT (November). But I've done it in the past and didn't know that I shouldn't touch it with bare hands. Do you think I should change it again? Do you know where the sensor is in the car and what it looks like?

Central Locking Sensor on Ford Focus

Hi. Can anyone please tell me where the central locking sensor is in a Ford Focus? It's a 1.8 Millenium Edition made in 1999, mileage approximately 81,000. I have a lot of trouble with the central locking, both via the key and the fob. The battery in the fob was changed two months ago. My mate...

    Air vent in boiler cupboard

Thanks for all the feedback. I agree it was an NCS and later became an AR which means that the boiler is no longer covered by the service contract since March '08. Can anyone advise whether/where it's possible to get a vent around 42cm sq (or any vent with 261sq cm free air space), or a...

    Air vent in boiler cupboard

ChrisR (and all) As I said the vent I have is around 24 cm sq and has 24 air ducts each about 10cm x .5cm. I was told that this allows 24x10x0.5 ie 120 sq cm free air space. If I need 361 sq cm free air space then I calculate this to mean that I need a vent around 60 cm sq. Surely a 346 x 244...

    Air vent in boiler cupboard

Thanks again gents (ladies?) This may move the topic into another category but I measured the door and made it 71x29, which is about 1820x740 in new money. I looked around but couldn't find such a wide louver door. If I find one it'll probably be a bit larger so would need to saw ends off if...

    Air vent in boiler cupboard

Thanks everybody so far. The boiler has a tube going upwards about 100mm diameter, poss a bit wider, so I take it that makes it open flued. Does anbody know how to check the regs and whether such large vents exist? I've got BG coming next week to quote for work although they've been pushing for...
