Glo-worm Ultracom 38cxi - Keeps on firing up....

Ok, D40 is 70 (same temp it's set to) D41 is 59 What does this D0 thing do?? It's currently set to 30. All rads have TRV's, and yes all rads are on.

Glo-worm Ultracom 38cxi - Keeps on firing up....

Ok, To answer some questions..... d40 was 52 d41 was 50 or the other way around, but pretty close. Number of radiators....errm, more than 6, it's actually 18. With regards to the modulation, I think there are two elements to it; a) Boiler modulation b) Modulation control...

Glo-worm Ultracom 38cxi - Keeps on firing up....

It's quite possible.....but, how do I find it? All the rads are heating up.....so there doesn't appear to be a blockage, but is there a way to test? Will post results from d40 and d41 a little later.

Tony, Thanks for the reply, but the manual for the Climastat says modulating is off by default. Page 20 http://www.glow-worm.co.uk/products/pdf/accessories/ClimaproRF_installation_servicing.pdf

Glo-worm Ultracom 38cxi - Keeps on firing up....

Ok, I may have solved my own problem, but will post to see if it's a likely resolution. I was looking through the advanced settings in the hidden menu and found something called "Modulation" This was set to on, just changed to off, and it appears to have done the trick? What's this...

Glo-worm Ultracom 38cxi - Keeps on firing up....

I'm wondering if someone can help with this problem as it's really annoying. Boiler works fine for hot water no problem. On the heating side, it's got the wireless room-stat, which works well, with the timer elements. i.e. at 1630 the boiler turns on and promptly does it's best to get...

Problem with Glow-worm Ultracom 38Cxi, possibly....

Replaced 3 of them..direct replacement, just new valves. Added 3, took a "T" from the nearest flow/return point.

Problem with Glow-worm Ultracom 38Cxi, possibly....

Not sure how to check a bleed cap, don't know what it is!! What's a safe max pressure to take the system up to? What should it be at?

Problem with Glow-worm Ultracom 38Cxi, possibly....

I would agree with you....but it's not in the rads...all bleed water as soon as you touch the bleed valves... How do I fix it?

Problem with Glow-worm Ultracom 38Cxi, possibly....

Hi, We have 18 rads on the system now.... Range rated? Not sure what that means? It was all working perfectly in May. Why should one have no TRV? I've left the one in the upstairs bathroom on max though, Room stat is wireless. It's not that, I know how to wire the boiler without...

Problem with Glow-worm Ultracom 38Cxi, possibly....

We had the above installed last February, and it was working fine until May. Since then it's only been serving hot water, as it's been warm(ish). Over the summer we've done some fairly major building works, which has involved removing/changing the upstairs radiators, and adding in 3...

Ideal Mexico CF75 CH without HW being on??

Thanks for the replies guys, that's just what I needed to hear. I just found it a bit strange, I've had sealed systems in my last two houses, and you could always do bits indepentantly. So I suppose my question is, am I wasting lots of energy by having the HW on while the CH is on? Is it...
