Good news. Well not totaly. Have found the model number. Was trawling through the forums and someone posted that you can find the details on a sticker on the bottom of the burner chamber. He was right. I have a CombiCompact VCW GB221H. Just need to find out if it is the gas regulator...

Still not doing what it should be. Have been looking on the web for a service manual, but cant find any. Is it a solenoid that opens the gas flow to the burner?
