thanks for replying ok, 4 wires on one cable connected to 2-5 on the back of NTE5( has a capacitor present). 2 other wires on a second cable ( which if I read correctly is the main cable) fix to A and B with 2 other wires from this cable fixed to A and B on the 2nd socket ( no capacitor) next to it

Dear All Have just investigated a blocked kitchen sink and as the waste consists of a vertical drop of 2ft followed by 3ft of horizontal pipe I think the problem lies with the lack of gradual fall. But the pipework looks to be 45mm - 1 3/4inch. Is defrintely not 40mm. Assuming I am right...
