Fixing a floating floor from a previous garage conversion

No exterior wall vents, there could be vents into the cavity maybe, but hard to see without ripping it all up, I expect it's not vented. Thanks for the help, additional layers aren't really possible, the ceiling height is already low. Guess I best start pricing up a layer of Celotex and a...

Fixing a floating floor from a previous garage conversion

Thanks for the reply, this is the current setup with 600mm centres on the joist. The joists aren't hanging they're just laid ontop of the DPC with the T&G above nailed on. No ventilation between the joists if that matters. At the moment it is horrendously noisy, the invoice for the original...

Fixing a floating floor from a previous garage conversion

Evening all, hoping for some advice on the best way to tackle a springy & extremely squeaky floating floor in a garage conversion. The garage was converted before we purchased the property and the flooring raised to meet the concrete slab in the rest of the ground floor. As an FYI the rest of...

Shock and Contact sensor on one Zone DEOL. - Help

Thanks, so done a bit of googling and if i've understood something like: https://www.acornfiresecurity.com/elmdene-g13801n-a-12v-switch-mode-power-supply-unit-1a with a 7ah battery, and then hook that directly to the ZEMs using the +/- 12v aux connections on the bottom, then disconnect the D2+...

Shock and Contact sensor on one Zone DEOL. - Help

Can I attatch an aux PSU to the Zems? Or have to get dedicated Zem PSU models? The whole thing is looped through my server UPS so has redundancy before falling to the backup battery, but obviously don't want to overload the panel. So the internal PSU cant even handle .25 amps on the aux...

Shock and Contact sensor on one Zone DEOL. - Help

Sorry for the delay, two ZEMs (non PSU), current setup has 5 wired PIR's, 9 wired shocks, 1 wired deltabell x, then I have a selection of wireless devices. All is currently working except for a tamper error i'm dealing with on the bellbox, that i was going to post separately about. I've been...

Shock and Contact sensor on one Zone DEOL. - Help

Yeah, so the shock sensors are all on separate zones. To each shock zone I want to add in 1 or 2 contact sensors. Assuming I do so as show in the diagram that shows "Wiring D75MULTI in Shared Zone COnfiguration", i'm just not clear how I go about the resistor setup i've currently got on the shocks.

Shock and Contact sensor on one Zone DEOL. - Help

Hi, I currently have shock sensors on independent zones wired to most windows with 4 core wire. Current configuration is DEOL. I'm trying to understand if I can add a 1or 2 contact sensors into each zone. Logic behind is, I dont want the alarm to set if we've left a window open. The error on...
