You should have got the Brickies to install your Boiler, made a far better job than abortion of an install

Check to see if the upstairs cold is tank fed, could be some sort of air lock or teed off the cold feed to the cylinder instead of tank

Tis fatal to drain thru PRV, especially if theres carp in the system. Valve probably wont reseat itself on fill up. ;)

Take taps out and rebed them with wall plaster (skimming) let it set, no probs,until you have to replace them.
