Hi, What would you do in this situation where I can see black bitumen possibly Asbestos glue under old Altro wet room flooring. I wanted to move the pipe back close to wall so I can build a stud wall for wall hung toilet. But only way would be to dig up floor. Or should I just put a toilet and...

    Summers house and ☔

yes, I was thinking more to keep the damn British weather out. I wouldn't of worried if it was just a big shed, but I spend s fortune on laminate flooring, insulation roof and floor with Celotex, the last thing I want it damp corners leaking down onto sonic gold laminate underlay and original...

ok, someone else I've just spoken to on web has suggested fibre cement board? non-combustible building material? Sounds like that might work and be good getting around corners where they interlock and stick out 100mm

    Summers house and ☔

No It's probably 70mm over 2.5M due to me adding Celotex on existing roof and putting the whole cabin on 65mm blocks off the concrete slab to allow airflow. Internal floor area is probably 17m2

Thanks, the pic of whole cabin is not actually mine, that's the demo site pic. Although I think I have gone and overlooked building regs. None of which were mentioned by builders who laid concrete slab or sellers of the cabin... How serious is my error?

ok so regardless of why rain comes in, it could be interlocking sections are a poor fit, bad build or whatever. Can I clad this summerhouse easily around the corners? Can I cut the corners down, so they do not stick out?

    Summers house and ☔

So last year I purchased a log cabin/summerhouse. We had some heavy rain last night and it drives into corners and I can see this never ever bring sorted. I think it was badly built in first place. The interlocking sections in corners have slight gaps where water is getting in, I'm sick of it...
