Having repaired sets for a living your best (cheapest) bet is to get a tv guy out. With it being localised to just one colour you probably have a blown driver transistor. Costing less than a fiver. Call out and possible an hours works to find and replace= a cheap fix until you decide which way...

All of the woodwork is painted but the only information i can get is that it was a trade paint.. nothing else.. Just wondered if there were any type of standards, eg, BS.. I can see certain areas where the frame joints are showing movement which i guess points to the wood settling into...
