Seeing as mine is from 2011, I'll have to open it up and have a look I think.
Whilst wiring up the sensor takes longer, just feels more likely to last longer.
Having it (control box) mounted to the front of the boiler sounds good.
I'm wondering if my boiler pcb has that port to connect it to?
Will have to look tomorrow.
Not sure I need the time signal, as I would set the time on the programmable room stat to sort that out, but maybe the vrc 470 needs the time?
I like it. Like selecting DHW priority, or feeding both water circuits via your switch / relay.
You have clearly done your homework on all of this. Hats off to you.
That's great, thank you for taking the time to explain it, I appreciate that. (If you don't already) youshould work for Vaillant.
Right, let's find ebay... :)
Thanks for the quick reply.
I guess the flow temp to radiators is based on the weather compensator (and it's settings) and the flow temp for charging DHW is from the boiler control knob then?
Does the nest (s) link to the ebus at all then? I guess they just drive the zone valves with 240 V.
Hi notorious.
Just read your thread. Interesting! :)
I have a simlar (but smaller) boiler (418 ecotec plus) fitted in 2011.
Id like to add weather comp, and this looks like you've done that?
Please could I ask what you have on the ebus? I have not used it at all, I just have 240 v onto 2 x...
Yes I thought that. The Vaillant TRVs seem too expensive though. :(
Maybe just one of their room smart stats (that uses the eBus) and keep the regular TRVs in the rooms.
Hello Woody.
I've been looking at the Wiser kit also.
What parts have you used? Do you find it needs resetting much, as I had heard that it loses connection to the trvs, and gives trouble.
I like the idea of it talking to the boiler (Vaillant in my case) with open therm / ebus to run it at a...
