Extending sink overflow pipe a tiny bit

That clamp is for a vent pipe for a boiling water tap. That's what I just put (hopefully correctly). Before that was there it was just the thick pipe going up to the thin pipe (boiler condensation overflow) which was just a couple of inches down into the thick pipe. And not attached, just...

Extending sink overflow pipe a tiny bit

No idea! I've taken a photo out of curiosity so hopefully it shows how it doesn't backflow and I haven't just been extremely lucky in not having the kitchen flood all this time. Can you tell by looking at it?

Extending sink overflow pipe a tiny bit

I mean attach the hose to the top pipe and have it open ended into the bigger pipe below. Hopefully that's ok as that's what our builders did! Just without the hose.

Extending sink overflow pipe a tiny bit

Goes into the waste pipe of the sink.

Extending sink overflow pipe a tiny bit

You're right - cheers. Just had another look and it's the boiler condensation pipe. Can I just use some tube like the one from my washing machine out pipe and just use a screw clip to attach it to some hose that I stick down that pipe?

Extending sink overflow pipe a tiny bit

I had to adjust the down pipe slightly from the sink overflow to fit a vent pipe. This has meant there's an inch gap between the two. What can I buy that will be the quickest/best way of having them join again? Previously the sink pip just poked into the down pipe. I assume that's normal and fine?

Single to double socket off fused spur

Cheers. The only double socket I have on me are normal sockets with switches. I assume they're fine to use instead of the ones without a switch?

Single to double socket off fused spur

I have a washing machine next to the sink in a single plug running to a 13A fused spur. I'm looking at a boiling tap so can I change the single plug to a double and run both off that spur?

    Anyone recognise this shower?

Recognise it? Dunno why shower people can't stamp some kind of model number on everything?! Thanks for your help so far.

    Anyone recognise this shower?

It needs replacing (I think, shower runs cold so Google tells me the thermostat is broken?) but I can't find an identical replacement and ideally I'd want the same one again so the measurements are the same so I don't have to drill any new holes.

    Anyone recognise this fill valve?

Thanks both, that's it! Can't believe it, love the internet

    Anyone recognise this fill valve?

The flush button has broken! I got a Flowmasta replacement at Screwfix but I assumed they'd all be universal but of course they aren't. So I guess I have to either find out what this one is or replace the whole full valve? Will it have a brand name on it anywhere?

    Odd lighting wiring

In the fan, simply because that was easier. Should I have done it in the ceiling rose? Vent-Axia VASF100B. Which from what I can tell is the most basic of basic extractor fans.

    Odd lighting wiring

Nope! It's still slightly on, very faintly. Sorry everyone for the confusion  In summary: She noticed the light was slightly on so I had a look and took that photo. She hadn't noticed the fan was always on. I think maybe because it's very quiet. I then thought the fan might have been...

    Odd lighting wiring

Cheers I switched those two wires in the fan unit and now it's only on when the lights on.
